A Saratoga Racecourse watercolor print and piece of sports memorabilia
A beautiful, soft watercolor of one of the entrances at Saratoga. Full of soft, pastel colors. Perfect for the watercolor lover.
Saratoga has so many beautiful areas to see. Many people who enter through the main gates off of Union Ave. do not know where this scene is. It is the clubhouse entrance off of Nelson Ave.
Over the winter of 2004, I got the urge to paint a few watercolor pictures. I have done watercolor scenes before. Fall foliage in watercolors are beautiful. An old barn and tractor are beautiful in watercolors. My first idea was to create 4 watercolors to use on notecards. I did complete 3. This "Saratoga Entrance" piece was to be the fourth. But I liked it at this size (8"x15") and did not want to have it made smaller to be put on a notecard. It has been very well received. Many collector's only look for watercolors. This print uses the smaller frame. Email to discuss matting options.
This original sold during the summer racing season of 2004.
