For certain services we may request credit card or other payment information which is transfered over secure connections. In accordance with Payment Card Industry (PCI) standards, we never store card code (cvv) data after it has been used. When we require personally identifying information, we will inform you about the types of information we collect and how we use it. We hope this will help you make an informed decision about sharing your personal information with us.

We do not rent or sell your personally identifying information to other companies or individuals, unless we have your consent. We provide such information to trusted businesses or persons for the sole purpose of processing personally identifying information on our behalf. When this is done, it is subject to agreements that oblige those parties to process such information only on our instructions and in compliance with this Privacy Policy and appropriate confidentiality and security measures. We conclude that we are required by law or have a good faith belief that access, preservation or disclosure of such information is reasonably necessary to protect the rights, property or safety of RichGabriel. We will not disclose your account information to other people or non-affiliated companies, except in the limited circumstances described in this Policy or with your consent. We may store and process personal information collected on our site. By using our services, you consent to the transfer of your information among these facilities. In the event of a transfer of ownership of Gabriel Gallery, such as acquisition by or merger with another company, we will provide notice before any personally identifying information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy. We may share aggregated information with others. An example of this would include the number of users who have clicked on a particular advertisement.

Information Security
We take appropriate security measures to protect against unauthorized access to or unauthorized alteration, disclosure or destruction of data. We restrict access to your personally identifying information to employees who need to know that information in order to operate, develop or improve our services. We follow Payment Card Industry (PCI) standards when dealing with credit cards and we adhere to the Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP) guidelines for maintaining secure operations on the web.

Credit Card Processing
All credit card charges occur immediately upon placing an order through our web site. This is primarily done for security since the data does not have to be stored in any way. Even though we exceed industry standard security practices, automated storage and retrieval of credit card data is inherently insecure. Regardless of the strength of encryption used, if the decryption key is accessible by the system, it can be vulnerable to hackers. We take measures to minimize this risk, but all stores that save information in this way are susceptable. Since we do not store your sensitive data, there is no possibility that it will be compromised. However, it also means that we cannot perform future charges without obtaining the information again.

We have considered an alternative approach involving a two-step credit card charge process. In this scenario, we would authorize credit cards when orders are placed and capture funds after shipping. However, the impact to you, the consumer, is unchanged since funds are still "reserved" either way. This method just seems to add unnecessary complexity to the process without any real benefit. In addition, the vast majority of orders ship within 48 hours, making the two steps irrelevant. Ultimately, we decided on the more efficient approach outlined above.

We always maintain consistent, active communication with our customers. If at any time you feel that we are unable to ship your order in a timely manner, we will happily provide a prompt refund.

Changes to this Policy
Please note this Privacy Policy will change from time to time. We expect most such changes to be minor, but there may be changes that are more significant. Regardless, we will post those changes on this page and, if the changes are significant, we will also provide a more prominent notice.
